I do not trust free wifi when going around town, on trips and vacations, etc. I always have a VPN turned on when I'm on the go and not at home. Free Wifi can have people snooping on what you're sending to the web, and because of that I always turn a VPN on when I'm not at my house. Mobile and free Wifi's I turn it on.

Personally, I am not comfortable with making use of anything that is given for free because I know that it doesn't always give you the best service since there is no commitment on your part in that kind of project. So, I wouldn't trust using free Wi-Fi.

Rarely do I use free wi-fi when I am out and about as I have my own data that is always on when I leave the house and lose connection to my home internet.

I have always found my own data more reliable than the free wi-fi you get in stores and such.

We have enough data where I can just use the satellite's 5G connection if the internet goes out instead of free wifi but I still wouldn't be too paranoid about it because I don't trust it either but if you go to like McDonalds and use theirs it's unlikely someone is snooping around your phone or pc.

I don't worry about it since I always have my VPN connected with the kill switch.

Free WiFi? It’s like finding a treasure chest in a video game—exciting but potentially full of traps! I love the convenience, but I’m also not about to let my data get looted by digital pirates. So, VPN to the rescue! It’s my trusty firewall shield, keeping my personal info locked down tighter than my gym sneakers.

I don't open bank apps when I am making use of one. Aside from that, I don't have any issues making use of one anywhere that I see one.

it really depends i dont use free wifi anymore for anything as it is.

When I use free wifi, I only use it for checking social sites or video sites, I do not use free wiki for financial transactions. I also use VPN when I am using free wifi.

They can still steal your information that way.

I believe so but I have never experienced any kind of data leak for using public wifi (free wifi. )
Me either but i have not used a free wifi in years. i remember when they was no free wifi lol

Free WiFi or not, I always make use of VPN. It does so much good for me especially with helping guard my online privacy. Users information online is worth so much money. I need my own protected.

I always stay on my mobile data on my phone even at home as it's fast enough and I never run out!

If I took my laptop out with me somewhere I would probably hot spot my mobile data.

I make use of my phone devices a lot and that has helped me stayed in touch. I don't enjoy using WiFi unless I am there in the library.

I barely use my laptop unless it's for study or to do work on my forum that's easier to do with a laptop. 95% of my posting on forums is from my phone.

It's how I use forums too. It's more convenient for me to post with my smartphone and I can post from being anywhere.

Wish MyBB forums were more mobile responsive nowadays. That is one of the only forum softwares that still isn't mobile responsive by default.

I'm quite sure it's one of the reasons why some forum owners don't easily consider it.

It is only when what I have to do cannot be carried out using a smartphone that I will take it to my laptop or my desktop computer.
