I don't think so. The second wave impact will be worse. Here they say that school's out for 2020.

Where did they say this was at? I haven't been keeping up with the school closings. If that's true, that's going to be hard on students. This virus is just leaving such a mess.

I'm Residing in the UK and lock down has been extended for 3-weeks, thankfully I am off work for one week although technically I'm a key worker as I'm working for the oil and gas in electroplating. It is a scary pandemic and I really hope everything gets better soon, its really horrible to the amount of death caused by thiis

I find it insane how quickly it became a pandemic and how quick the month of April is flying by, but it also feels so slow too. I find it very depressing to not be able to live my normal life and that my study abroad experience has been ruined because of the pandemic. I think it is a difficult time right now for many people, and it is important to be thoughtful and respectful of everyone's problems - as we always should be.

Solidarity is the main key for survival during these times, i hope that your community finds shelter among theirs.

Our economy is really fragile and quarantine is really making a huge impact in currency, next time i get my paycheck i'll start saving in USD.

I'm having a rough time getting food really. I was having trouble getting toilet paper, too- but, my dad and I had a ton of masks, so we gave some to the police station and the chief sent us toilet paper as thanks! I was so happy ;-;

But seriously, there's no food store near me, and most delivery services for grocers are too packed with orders. My dad and I tried using Amazon's fresh food delivery, but there were no slots open every time we tried. I'm living off frozen food I can get at pharmacies nearby.

I'm sorry to hear that. It's unfortunate that businesses have not opened up their doors yet. They need to find a cure and end the pandemic as soon as possible. They were running out of all kinds of things, even something as simple as hand sanitizer which my mom had somehow got some from her work and was handing them out. Apparently people were hoarding the stuff. I can't imagine people hoarding toilet paper and the necessities just because of this but that's what a lot are doing. There was a limit on how many paper towels my stepdad could buy as well. Apparently they'd only let him buy 1 pack.

Do you have neighbors nearby that you can ask for a few cans of beans or something? If they understand your situation they might be willing to pick up extra things for you when they go to the store to shop?

Most of our neighbors don't talk with us much and vice versa. The neighbors upstairs and I are friendly, and at one point they bought me some beer I'd asked about, but lately they're keeping their distance because my dad is immuno-suppressed and thus more in danger of catching the virus. They don't want to take any chances, so I haven't physically seen them in over a month. I can try asking through text, but I think they might worry too much about it...

Can you ask for food through delivery services or pack them before sending them to you? Eating canned food might not be a good idea.

I can't use food delivery services because they don't take food stamps, but my case manager said she'd look into getting me a food bag from her workplace that's giving them away. And frozen food isn't always horrible. So that's good.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having such issues with getting food. Surely the stimulus check should have helped you, right? You could use that money to pay for a large delivery of food to your house of residence. I heard they're also boosting the amount of money given to food stamps as well.

In my country we're having a hard time, 10 of my coworkers were fired and i thought that might even get me as well but i received an e-mail telling me that i still keep my job. Just when i was having the idea of quitting and get a better job this comes and messes up everything.

RE: COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

I know things aren't going to improve, if nothing else get worse with those eager to open business back up. Things are starting to heat up in my county here in Iowa, which some parts of the state are opening while others (like mine of course) are still closed and starting to see their high out breaks.

I can only hope things can start to go back to normalish around june.

I really think that starting September 1st we'll really see things going back to normal, at least with our jobs and stuff, you can forget going to major events for the rest of the year. Sad but true :(
