Previously named YouTube Red, Youtube Premium is a subscription based service offered by Youtube.

You get:

  • Ad-free & background play

  • Downloads

  • YouTube Music Premium app

I use a plugin/website to download Youtube videos and audio already. I wouldn't pay for this service because it doesn't offer anything I can't already get.

What do you think about Youtube Premium?

Currently, I’m not subscribed to youtube red/premium and I don’t have any plans to subscribe to it anytime soon.

I have in the past subscribed to YouTube premium. I tend to purchase the family one as there are five of us in the house that use YouTube so it works out better that way. I only tend to subscribe if I can afford to.

No. the Tiktok videos is enough for me now
Sometimes I will learn something from youtuber and watch the AD as well

I never saw the point of subscribing to youtube premium unless you were loaded with money or rich. Then you would want to because most people watch it every day and you wouldn't have to see ads.

If there were some YouTube Originals that I was really interested in, I might subscribe.

I have not subscribed to youtube premium and I have no plans to subscribe to youtube premiums. I can tolerate ads as long as I do not have to pay money.

I’d weigh the benefits of YouTube Premium, such as ad-free viewing, background play, and access to YouTube Music. If these features enhance my experience and fit within my budget, I might consider subscribing. It’s all about whether the value justifies the cost for my personal and professional use.

I have looked at the benefits that the premium subscription brings, and it is not worth what I should pay for. This is what I have looked at and what has made me focus more on using the free version instead of having to pay extra for the premium subscription.

I am a regular subscriber of YouTube Premium. This is because one of my favourite past time hobbies is watching news debates. (Infact, I watch them even while bathing!). In between the news debates, ads are frustrating (the main reason why switched over from TV to YouTube in mobile for watching them).

And for the post three years, I have been subscribing to YouTube premium regularly.

For users who dont want to pay, there is a software named Vanced YouTube which is completely ad free. However, in exchange, you give them your data.
