Would you join the army?

The military isn't meant for everyone. It's very good for you to know it's not what you could do and close the door to it. Being forced to take up a profession like being in army will not end well.

That was the exact reason I made up my mind not to take the offer. It was not a cool experience for me at all.

Yes. It's not even about the money they are being paid. I don't think they are paid well enough to sacrifice their lives in the process of doing their jobs.

Not only that but you'll inadvertently have to kill innocent people who may not have anything to do with what started the war but because of their affiliation, they're your target.

Exactly. Anything that is going to make me sacrifice innocent lives all in the name of war is something I would never want to stain my hands in. It is why I wouldn't join the army.

I've always held this viewpoint since I was a kid. I don't want to stain my hands with the blood of innocent people. It's why you see so many soldiers have PTSD after retiring or leaving said army because they realized some of the atrocities they committed and associates they watched die right in front of them.

It is not easy for most soldiers to become to live normally anymore. I have seen it first hand how it can be difficult for them to live a normal life after retiring.

I will like to emphasise that soldiers’ losses are unmeasurable. The military duty are exhausting in both physical and psychological. I do appreciate people who work for the armed forces, but for me personally I do not believe that I could make it in the army.
