As the topic and poll title say, where do you usually buy or read your books?

RE: Where do you usually buy or read your books?

Most of the books I usually read are programming/coding books and scripting references. I buy them off amazon.com

Amazon is a great place to buy books of all kinds though, not just programming. But I used to check out books from a library a while back. That's also a good way to get some good books

As far as the physical books I have, most of them have been purchased at my local bookstore. The only time I've order the physical book online is if I can't find it at my local bookstore (which doesn't happen often).

As far as the e-books I have, I've ordered them on Amazon.

I mostly get my books for free from Amazon. I search for the $0.00 books and have been fortunate to find some good ones. There are free ones offered monthly to Prime members as well as the lending library. I haven't been reading a lot lately because I've been busy working on some crafts for my craft forum.

Mine I get from the library. It has to be a good book for me to actually buy it. & when I buy one, it's a physical book; not Kindle.

I figure it helps our local library out & encourages people to read.

My husband buys used novels then just sells them in our own garage sale.

I tend to buy them on amazon, and when I read them I read them in bed as reading instantly puts me to sleep. It's why it takes me literal months to read through a single book. I get through maybe 2-3 chapters before falling asleep lol

I used to buy books that you feel and hold then read them, till this day most people still and can do that as it still feels good. Me, however, I do not read other than my PC screen on forums and sites and Reddit :P

I don't by to read. I do not even do Ebooks

Just to add to my earlier comment.....

When my hubby and I go out of town somewhere, I've been known to stop at a bookstore there for some shopping.

Most of the books I have read are from the library. My library did have a huge collection of books and fortunately, I never had to spend money on books. I was more into educational materials during my early days when technical books costs you a lot. Later for leisure reading my habit for lending from library didn't leave me and actually I still get my books from there. It works out a lot cheaper and you can save space at home too rather than have collection of books stacked up gathering dust.

These days I only buy ebooks. I buy ebooks from Amazon. I read on my kindle app, on my tablet. When I am reading physical books, I like to lie on my bed while reading.

I still prefer hardback novels to e-books. It gives me great satisfaction which somehow is missing while reading online. I have membership of a library and I rent out books or novels for reading. Luckily for me, the library has good collection of latest books available for its life members.

In the past, I used to frequently visit a few book stores every week. My favorite book store was called Pilgrims and I used to spend a few hours every week. I also used to buy 1-2 books every month.
