What is the purpose of the control panel?

When I'm working with a new computer, I like to go to the Control Panel, which is part of Microsoft Windows. It's highly adaptable, simple to use, and makes distributing updates to my desktop a breeze. The Control Panel is a component of the server that allows you to customize your server's resources and configuration. Installing and removing server modifications, managing users and permissions, and creating backups are all done through the Control Panel.

RE: What is the purpose of the control panel?

I was using cPanel for my website but later switched to Virtualmin/Webmin because it's the best alternative for something that is free on my end. I honestly used to not be able to live without my cPanel website control panel. It's the best out there for websites but cost like $180/year for our virtual private server which is free on shared. We have a VPS but my take on the free panel is well established because I have not had a problem with it yet. I always like to tinker with control panels just to experiment.

When I bought hosting from Namecheap they gave me cPanel. I have been using cPanel for 9 years and have never used any other kind of control panel. Since I have no experience with other services, I have no idea how they compare with cPanel

I actually switched back to cPanel and plan to pay the extra $17/mo when I re-upgrade to a VPS sometime in August.
