The US declaring War on Syria? I seriously think we're all screwed. I mean c'mon this is another World war we're entering. Russia is allied with Syria and we just preemptively struck. Question, what do you guys think will happen as a result of this? I wouldn't sleep on it, seriously consider what it could be that we're doing and what is our endgame (as US citizen) and do you think we should mind our own business as a nation? Here's looking at you, Trump.

Nukes seem to control the outcome of every countries decision right now. Considering the U.S. is the lead in the nuclear arms race, we can only pray other countries won't try anything funny. Would be terrible if a nuclear war broke out. You do realize that the U.S. alone has enough nukes to blow up the entire planet earth. Not exaggerating in the least bit.

To be fair there was alot of voting on the bombing, it wasn't just the U.S, Britain as well as France did an airstrike too. dont only go off of what you hear on the news look into a topic. Russia was outvoted and therefor had no say, everything was done in a fair manner and chemical attacks go against treaty's layed down years ago. and yes current occurring events are very similar to events that led to WWI, but i have no fear of a WWIII for the fact that events like this are delt in a political manner and not straight to war as huge powers have the ability to wipe each others country off the planet literary. i take no side just merely stating the facts. I do agree with what andox has stated above me. I personally feel like in this time and age of peace and worldwide tranquility, few nations, and nations as large as Russia, will go to the length of war with each other because of some small countries' desire for war. Chemical attacks are internationally banned, and as Russia and the United states are part of the United Nations, they would not engage in such activities directly. Now, it is not to say that both Russia and the US use indirect tactics to fight each other, by supporting different sides and sending aid. Most of the wars now are political, and fought in the meeting rooms of councils, and places of dignified law. A war of attrition using words is the primary means in this time and age.

I do agree with you though on the fact that it's being handled the right way for now as far as control of that power goes.
I have to admit it seems (and I mean only seems) that countries have had a diplomatic way of handling things for quite a while. There are many countries with nukes. Even a lot of the smaller occupations have nuclear warheads. Fear in my opinion is the only reason a nuclear war hasn't broke out. With the U.S. leading the fight in this it appears we are safe but I wouldn't count on it staying this way forever. Donald Trump is a good president at heart but he's not as experienced as some of the others and many countries like North Korea do not respect him. He speaks a lot about a shadow government. I sometimes am fooled into thinking there is one because of how safe we've been from war but my intellect leads me into ignoring this completely as it is just not true. The truth of the matter is we've been lucky as hell. Governments can be as diplomatic as they want but no one in my opinion is able to harness a power like that without destruction long term. It just doesn't happen.

The fact of total war being avoided by fear is very true. as every person with a tad of common sense knows that countries with nukes can almost end the world, hell the U.S. can destroy everything we know stated by Sebastian Lukács Gorka : "We are not a super power. We are a hyper power." the U.S. strikes fear into most enemies thus using it as a weapon itself. and this weapon of fear puts and end to nuclear war, as dumb as us humans are we know better than to destroy the planet. (on purpose at least)

Hey, I do read into things, but not when it comes to politics. Saw it on facebook feed, clicked it it was MSNBC. I have since reading this thread again, went to look for the article and it is no longer there. I didn't read the article in its fullest just the first paragraph. I wanted to see what your thoughts were. Hell I don't look into stuff really anymore. Its just too much bullshit to deal with. And now its obvious to me even news sites clickbait people. Fucking sad to clickbait news to boost your media outlet, especially when the majority of people (like myself in my age range and lower) look to youtube and other sources for news. But hey, that's my thoughts on the matter, just wanted to know the communities as well.
