The second half of Death Note is why it's not my favourite.
- Neon Genesis Evangelion
- Steins;Gate
- Code Geass
- Death Note
- Princess Mononoke
- Parasyte
- Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
- Spirited Away
I can understand that, but prior to watching Death Note, I'd had "the second part is so bad, never watch it" drilled into my head so much that upon watching it, it wasn't nearly as shit as what I had thought it would have been. I think it would still be in my top few animes, even if I hadn't liked the second half - that first part was just too amazing. Even though I will admit there was a drop in quality, I didn't mind it in the end, although I did hate Near, the lack of Ryuk for the most part and the contrived way they finally expose Light. The second half of Death Note is why it's not my favourite.
You mean second part after L? It was a certainly quality drop, but you always give the bad guys a "little victory" before the final struckI can understand that, but prior to watching Death Note, I'd had "the second part is so bad, never watch it" drilled into my head so much that upon watching it, it wasn't nearly as shit as what I had thought it would have been. Yeah I meant the second part after L, I guess I could have put spoiler tags to really show what I meant I suppose. As with the Netflix Death Note, I haven't checked it out due to the other live action anime atrocity - Dragonball Evolution - kinda keeping me away from it. Although with enough morbid curiosity, I might check it out in the future for a good laugh more than anything. You mean second part after L? What do you think about the movie released by netflix?

I haven't particulary disliked it but it wasn't really good tbh, at least it got the ending that most people would have wanted in the animeAll I heard before watching the movie was that it was shit and don't watch it. I watched it and I liked it.

I finished watching Clannad: After Story. It was really good. I watched Clanned some time ago, but it's up there as one of my favourites. I'd have to rewatch to know for sure.
