Hey guys so we did it. We made the upgrade. Now I am going to go through the changes here. There aren't many but there are a few so please pay attention.

Firstly our ratings add-on is gone and it's now reactions. Now it's the exact same thing just with some missing features. We have all the reactions in the same form and we can give reaction the same way. But currently you have to hover over the item to give a reaction instead of clicking on it. I plan to dive into the settings and update this thread soon regarding this but yes as of now it's hover. All the reaction/rating amounts have been imported and will show up in your count.

There are a couple missing features though (it was worth the upgrade. C'mon this is 2.1.1). We no longer have the ability to see a reactions given item in the visitor menu and to see how many you've given also on the profile page.

With that said I'd like to mention that this was a tedious process. I had to redo all the icons because of Font Awesome 5 not being supported in our previous version. Not to worry though.

Anyways the missing features are given reaction amounts and being able to see the separate reactions on your profile page when clicking the number link. I plan to add a template hack momentarily that will allow you to see the separate reaction amounts but no one else will be able to see them only separately (of course they can see the full amount).

Well all that covered. The same ratings/reactions are present, our count is in tact for all of us. And so forth.

Good news is I have 1 free year of "reactions plus" an add-on by themehouse. I plan to install it momentarily after I find out what extra features it gives to us. As I said in the past we were currently using Xon's content ratings.

Anyways let me know what you think. There are a lot of new features on the new software. Too many to list but here they are (and this isn't even counting the extra low version upgrade only the medium. Look at the most recent announcement to see that).

I'm going to make another announcement in a bit regarding "reactions plus". Yes I have a free year and I'm installing it today. Won't be where I have to take the site offline though, an announcement will do. Thank you for your kind words. Also yes it's a medium version upgrade. Not full version

Not as much as I would have hoped though I believe they are adding new features soon. However we have emojii support. I was thinking about adding some more with emojis. There's also a secondary way you can view the reactions with categories and stuff that were not currently using and it's a more attractive way to give reactions. I'm not sure if I'm going to add this but possibly will. Like the animated kind. Either way we can use emojiis the old fashion way regardless. Also I believe out of the box Xenforo has emojii support in posts which is good.

Long story short, it's installed already and may add some emojiis later or switch to the expanded reaction view, not sure. I don't want too many reactions to be honest but if we had just enough it would be perfect. I have a template hack that will show you the amount of ratings/reactions in each score on your profile unfortunately you will be the only one able to see. They plan on adding the ability to display them there for other people soon. With that said, last thing on my list is to find a way for the reactions to not show up unless you click the like button. If we can manage all of that then I'm satisfied.

I think so though I'm not entirely sure I will have to look into it. I know that 2.1 has better support for emojis though they don't appear in the smiley list that I currently have seen. I'm going to look into all this soon.
