I was once told something interesting by a friend of mine. That machines would become so powerful in the future they would devour their own creator. One who would devour it's own creator into nothingness. I find this video very interesting. The validity of this mans claims may be questionable but it's still worth it and an interesting watch. Meh, hard to believe that is how the world will be like, but not like anyone here right now will ever find out And if I did get time travel, I would go back in time for lottery numbers.

I don't know that I'd want to live in a world ruled by tech anyway. There's enough tech in the world right now and too much of it can be hacked.

I would say a lot of time travel theories are a bit overdone. And often hard to believe. None of the time travel stories evil would be from china and make the development of humans go back like 20 years. So I guess time travelling often is more or less speculated.

I hardly doubt the guy really did "go" to the future. This more sounds like one of the many "Utopian" futures, where the population of the world remains small, due to population controls and war. I highly doubt that this would be the future in 800 years. I mean, given 800 years and the potential for expansion to the solar system, it doesn't sound plausible to have such strict population controls to be so low, that the planet basically ends up being relatively empty.

Time travel though a fiction now can turn to reality in future. With technological advancements, I won't be surprised if this happens. I am sure experiments are already being done in advanced countries. In theory, it does look possible. Sometimes, it scares me to think where science is leading us. Science is going to rule the world and who knows science could well be one reason of destruction to our planet.
