Thoughts on Polyamory or open Relationships?

Well, it's my personal and most humble opinion that aside from the possibility to contract many STDs with multiple partners, it's immoral and unethical. I've had a few ex-friends who were in an open relationship and have been wanting me to accept it. I won't compromise my self-respect, dignity and integrity by stooping myself to their level. I don't know why they can't be satisfied with 1 unique life partner. Why do you have to be with multiple partners at once? It's hard for me to fathom and understand how they manage the jealousy, drama, fights and conflicts with multiple partners in an open relationship. I don't like this idea at all. How do you feel about this yourself? I feel strongly against it because it's highly immoral, unethical and disrespectful for me personally. But, what about you personally? Would you be in a open relationship or marriage? with several partners at once?

The only thing that i respect from that kind of people is that they're honest enough to say that they can't stop cheating their couples and they want something "open" just to cover that issue so they can stick to their policy.

Myself, i won't ever do that because as like you, i wish to build something heatlhy that propulses my self-esteem (knowing that my couple is hanging around with someone else besides me won't help).

I want to preserve my dignity as well. But as long as the people involved in those open relationships or whatever, they're free to do it.

In my opinion this is one of the worst sins you can commit to have multiple wives... etc

God tends to look down and smite those who treat marriage outside of a unity through Christ. I'm not hear to preach but wanted to add my 2 cents. And that would be the fact that God does not appreciate it therefore I am against it. Even outside of marriage I do not agree. You should be faithful to your partner.

What the hell is open relationship? Like one woman or one man isn't enough? I would be happy being single than having myself in an open relationship with another who goes to another man.

I suppose it would depend on the people involved.   Well, I've heard stories of rich older men who had erectile dysfunction and would let other men bang their wives.   Also, history has told the stories of several men with successful harems.    However, though, jealousy is a powerful emotion.   Well, with men, to let jealousy gain a foothold is a killer for a relationship cause it projects weakness to the woman.  However, how is he supposed to feel?   Well, up to a certain point, a man can allow flirting as a test from the woman - so he can show her it's not a big deal.

If you want to flirt, please be my guest but don't keep one in a so called relationship and be flirting with all that comes your way... That's insane for me because there is no way I can understand it.
