Terrorism is a complicated problem that really needs a multipronged approach. Governments should match their efforts to create better security with the needed freedom that people should enjoy.

For me, I think intelligence gathering and international cooperation is the way forward to prevent an attack.

What do you think?

Well to be quite frank, it doesn't help that they are now becoming so lax on gun laws. Apparently several states and soon to be every state has made it now legal to own a gun without a conceal carry permit. What this does is give terrorist or even just a petty thief the ability to buy a gun with little to no background check. I think they at least make sure your not a felon I believe but even still the fact that most anyone can just buy one directly in-store is extremely dangerous. It's not like the person is buying a knife. When you shoot a gun that decision to harm someone occurs much faster then if your using a handheld weapon. For example the thought process for stabbing someone rather then shooting someone is much longer but guns create a split second decision that in turn also leads to many suicides too.

How do you define terrorism these days? Trump sponsored Capitol Hill attack in 2021, was it a terrorist attack? If not, what was it? US attack in Iraq was it not a terrorism since they did not find weapons of mass destruction?
