Shared Hosting

Shared hosting could work as a good start for many websites, particularly small to medium ones. That is what I use presently and it's cool! Some possible drawbacks are security risk and performance issues if some other sites on the server are hit with heavy traffic.

This is correct. If one site is overloading the server on a shared environment, then all the other sites will also experience performance issues. As long as a site is small, shared hosting is perfect.

However, once you start experiencing performance issues, it’s best to upgrade to a more beefy server
