Which kind of bank account do you operate in your bank? Do you like saving account where you would be entitled to getting percentage of interest on the money you saved in your account for a specific period of time or would you prefer to run a current account that's used for mostly business purposes? You are charged for the business service provided for the current account.

RE: Saying or Current Account?

There's a little typographical error in your thread title but I understand what you were trying to say. I make use of only a savings account. I have no business that requires a business current account.

RE: Saying or Current Account?

I make use of savings account and a fixed deposit account. The reason why I love fixed deposit account is because of its higher interest rate on the deposit you have in your account.

RE: Saying or Current Account?

I make use of saving account for now. I'm planning on opening a new business account by next month. I recently started a new business, hence the need for a business current account.

RE: Saying or Current Account?

It simply depends on what I want to do with the account. When it has a lot to do with making daily payments, then I believe having a savings account is the better choice.

RE: Saying or Current Account?

Savings accounts is the best for me now.

At least, I get interest on my savings every month. I have no plans on opening a current account for now.

RE: Saying or Current Account?

I use savings at the moment in my residential country, if I see the need for current I'll go for it no problem. But st this point in time, I'm okay to continue using savings account and the deductions aren't that bizarre on my end.

I saw that typographical error and when I try to edit and correct it, it was already too late for me to do it which is why I have left it that way.

I have a current account now and also a dollar account.

I had a new job that required I have both of the accounts.

As long as job is concerned, there is no big deal with having those accounts. It is something that will make your work go well.

What's the requirements for opening a dollar account?

It depends on the country where you are from because in my country, you will need at least a minimum of 10 to 50 USD and also someone who owns the current account on the bank to be your referee or guarantor.

A savings account is very easy to operate which is the reason why it is the only account I still currently have even though I had plans of opening a current account but I haven't been able to do it yet.

If this is the same requirements for me to open a dollar account in my country, it is something I can come up with easy without finding its difficult. I'm going to check it out soon.

I have both a savings and a current account and I make use of them both for paying bills and also saving money. I feel they both have their benefits and I love how I can earn interest on my savings if I leave money in there.

Isn't current account best suited for running businesses than just using it to pay bills? My father's runs with a current account only.

I just found a bank account without fees called Chime. So I'm happy with that. I can transfer paypal funds to my visa debit card with chime and spend overseas so that's a huge plus. Another popular one without fees is Capitol One which I plan to open a bank account with soon.

Completely beats bankofamerica which has like $5/month fees.

I have both for different reasons and I think most people do especially if you have credit cards. I don't have a preference because they're useful for different financial situations.

It can be and many use that for business purposes too. I guess in a sense I do too as that is where I send my money to when I get paid and then anything that needs to be paid out gets paid out from there.
