Pre Built vs Custom Built

So who prefers to build their own PC or do you prefer to just buy a premade one? I watched this video and found it interesting how people can make their own PC specifications etc. Here's the video:

Always go custom-built if you can, that way you know more of whats in the PC and when you boot it up, it won't have all that bloatware that pre-made pcs will come with. Granted I've only owned pre-built PCs, but I'm hoping my next purchase will be of my own design.

Custom Built PCs will always be the cheapest option around.

I never owned a Pre built, maybe those made by Dell called Optiplex are fairly good, not really strong CFG but you can do something with them.

I build my PC and i don't go for Pre-Built PCs. Because Custom gives you the option to choose what you really want and upgrade later (components) unlike Pre-Built

Man, those ensambled pcs are so expensive and some of them grab the cheapest components. I've been looking for some of them here in my country, i'd say they double the cost just for "assembling"

I have always wanted to build my own desktop, as I have taken apart a few I have owned in the past, but never really had the money to splurge for the parts, all upfront when I want to do it.

I guess you fancy owning laptops right? you can build decent setups with little money nowadays. The components still stands (like Ryzen 1000 series ie.)

I prefer desktops really. My day to day use is always on desktop.

I've never built my own custom PC before, and for the price and spec for some of the pre-builds you can pick up these days - I don't think it's particularly worth it either.

Lately I've been contemplating buying a new rig, and going back to a Desktop from a Laptop.. This must be getting on about 10 years old now! Trouble is, everything else could do with updating at the same time.. I fancy a new TV before a PC.

I've always been buying my own machines. I'm not that tech-savvy and don't have enough knowledge to build my own. Custom Built models are cheaper, for sure, but I don't mind spending a little more on what I want for a hassle-free experience.

If you're looking at getting a graphics card that's in the RTX 3000 series, it's going to be tough unless you go pre build. 

Custom build is always better because it's cheaper when you build the computer yourself. It's only the shortage of these RTX 3000 series cards make a lot of the custom builds look like attractive offers.

If you're OK with reselling, you can always buy a pre built computer with the RTX 3060/3070/3080/3090, take it apart and sell the parts you don't need. That way you get the graphics card and can build your custom machine after ordering the parts you want.

I never buy a pre-build system, Never. Well, Apart from getting an olf Acer 5500 desktop from an family member  but that's back 20 years ago and that was before I was old enough to even think about building. Aren't nothing wrong with pre-build system as long as you are dealing with the right people/company  I seen very good pre-builds that are so good that they even do right OC for you. But then those Pre-builds are going to cost you far more then you can afford. With prebuilts you often don't know what components are used, though sometimes it is listed. so there are good prebuilts with good components that offer great value. but then there are the ones from dell, lenovo, acer etc which often use proprietary components, which make them really hard to upgrade, which kinda defeats the point of a pc if you can't upgrade it.

Custom build will give you a better price (when prices don't suck) and let you get the maximum value of parts. A prebuilt will typically cost more than building yourself (builders premium) you don't get to handpick every part so some might be less than ideal, and depending on the prebuilt you go with it can be hard to upgrade.

If I have the knowledge of how to build my own PC, it's what I'm going to do. I would beef it up exactly the way I want it.

I have always preferred to buy pre-built PCs when I make a PC purchase. I would not be against building my own if I had the funds for all the parts and the time to build it myself.
