Do you hire paid posters for your forum and how beneficial is this? How often would you pay people to post?

I did think of using paid posters sometime back, though I have never used it. In my opinion, it is very useful in terms of raising the amount of posts and comments that I wanted.

I hire paid posters. I do it once in a while as long as budget permits. If your forum lacks organic activities and if your users are not posting voluntarily, having paid posters will help you get activities and build a thriving community.
