My website on google search ?

I have a website that I'd want visitors to find via a Google search. So I signed up for the Google Console service and installed an SEO plugin on the website, but the website is still not searchable on Google.

What am I overlooking?

Or, alternatively, what should I do to make my website searchable on Google?

You need a Robots.txt file.

Create a Robots.txt file and put the following in the file.

User-agent: *
Allow: /

You cannot appear on searches unless your website is ranked high for high traffic keywords. This will happen only when you optimize your website for search engines by doing on page, off page and technical SEO.

I haven't dealt too much with this as I am still working on making a website myself but I have noticed that it can take time before webpages start appearing on Google Search.

Having a sitemap can help as it will let Google know what you want to show up and what you prioritize.
