RE: Mars Colonization

I think it is but would require much more technology then people have now. It's not a good idea to risk everything when your growing plants for food. You would need some higher advanced technology otherwise it would be pointless to try and bring someone on a rocket ship to the planet on a mission that takes decades.

The expectation is that Mars will be colonized by humans in the year 2050.  With the advent of technology, it won't be a surprise for all of us if it happens as expected.

How do you think we will overcome the costs of transporting supplies to and from there? Space flight is still an energy expensive endeavor.

I agree that costs are so high for transporting. But I strongly feel that someday they will make it possible. The growth of technology is outstanding every year and it's unbelievable.  Have we ever thought that civilians can go to space?? But they have made it possible.

They're already preparing from what I know.

I think it's a good idea for the human race because Earth isn't going to last forever, especially with how climate change is going.

Instead of protecting what we already have on Earth, we are going in search of water and livable conditions on Mars.  It is quite an irony.  Wherever humans go they create conflict for their own gains.

RE: Mars Colonization

I certainly do not think Mars colonization is possible in our life time and certainly not in the near future. I even feel these experiments are just a waste of time and money. Instead, protecting our environment and our beautiful planet and by not destroying natural resources on earth, our planet will be able to sustain life for a long long time, indefinitely, if i may say so. But of course power mongers and so called scientific community will disagree as it's their source of income.
