Looking at past Wars, is America not the luckiest they've ever been?

Wars have been spanning out for all of time since the beginning. There seems to be a war at least every 20 years or less.

I heard Rush Limbaugh say this on my dads radio and it is more true than I can say. America has to be the luckiest damn country there ever was in this age and time. Regardless of Donald Trump attacking Syria, it doesn't really count as a war in my opinion because there's no real threat to America at the moment.

However look back at how many wars the entire world has experienced since the beginning and you will see that this "time period" or "time frame" we've had is about the luckiest damn time period in all of history. It's now 2018. When's the last time this country had a real war? It's been a long time. And when I say that I mean no one has attacked us with a real military threat in a very long time.

What are your thoughts on that and does anyone think it will change in the coming days? How will we continue for 100 more years? Thoughts below.

every bigger "war" murica had was on other peoples land none on its own therefore no damage to its property and land

tbh ww3 would be nice ... kind of a hard reset since balance now is not good at all........ the 1% of rich is becoming richer and richer and us "normal" people are paying the price

First i would like to say that trump did not declare war on syria, there was an air strike and that was alll, britan and france also did an airstrike. and like what was said by Sebastian Lukács Gorka : "We are not a super power. We are a hyper power." and this is true, other country's are terrified of us and know not to come onto american soil because really bad things will happen if they do. if you look at it like this.... america probably has unbelievable weapons of mass destruction that civilians dont know about, granted other country's most likely do aswell but probably not like america. and withing the next 100 years ( if earth last that long) i dont think there will be any wars on american soil, i think as years go on there will be even less and less wars surprisingly enough, as i believe that situations would will be handled with a more diplomatic respect, and leaders know not to invoke war because technology has come too far for the biggies to go at it.

Yes but there must be some type of behind the scenes type thing going on. I'm not the one to believe in a type of "shadow government" if you will. I don't believe in that. But these leaders have to be doing something other than negotiating as I'm sure you know that doesn't always get far. But I have to admit they have done a good job so far. That cannot be mistaken. They have done a fantastic job with the way these leaders have handled things. Mostly the allies. Everyone else such as North Korea and the lot of em are not really who I'm talking about. It's these leaders who have stopped them in their tracks.

Not sure if wars won't happen in the future. It seems there's something else going on here and has to be. The human nature is that of the type to crave lust and power. Regardless of a humans ability to control that power, they will never be able to.

So my question, are we just lucky? Or is there something else going on. It's hard for me to believe nothing has transpired because of government leaders only. Just my person opinion but I like how you think 1@Andox88[/uSER]
