Most political parties have dedicated IT wing for campaigns and marketing on social media.  It is the duty of every citizen to scrutinize everything that they see regarding elections on social media and analyse if it is true or simply staged for the sake of elections to improve the candidate's image.  If the quality of our politicians should improve, we should improve the quality of the voters.

Social media has a huge role when campaigns are running. As another people said, the candidates have dedicated teams working to cover everything in the social media that would make the voter give their vote for the specific candidate. It's our choice what we believe in and who we vote for.

Facebook and Twitter have also been abused over the years for Presidents and VPs that are already in office. Joe Biden I don't think has done this but it appears mostly Trump did. I still don't think he should have been banned though.
