Wondering if anyone thinks a retro game for $50 or one nintendo 64 game I've heard about that's like $250 is worth the high price tag. To be honest it may just be the retro game market that has sky rocketed in value but it seems to me that stores like gamestop shouldn't be charging that much for the games rather than the console.

I think a mini super nintendo classic is like $60 or $70 bucks I can't remember and I can't blame them there because its the console but in my opinion the games themselves are way too expensive. You could go to a garage sale and land like 20 or 30 games for like $30.

What makes them worth the price?

idk , i buy all of my retro stuff over ebay , didnt pay more than 15$ for a game , but if game is like super rare and in very good conditions , for collectors they will pay the price

also , i dont belive anyone actually plays the game after he spends 250$ on collectors UnOpened edition

Even tho i did try my ps1 game that i got from ebay :D worked fine ^_^

Those items now are only meant for collection. Even though i'm not a big fan of buying and not using what i buy (there are people that keep their stuff unopened) i will not pay more than 100$ per piece.
