New member to the community here and hoping to stick around for the long haul. I'm Jake, been on forums well on close to 13+ years now or so (rough estimate, more than likely longer). I'm a big fan of movies, television and gaming so you'll more than likely find me frequenting those sections if you have them. I enjoy writing, reading and listening to music as well so if you know of some good bands to suggest, feel free to recommend them to me and I'll give them a listen.

Glad for you to join the site. We should be growing a lot soon. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. Since you've been on forums for so long I'd like to have you know we are on some really good software Xenforo 2. Probably some of the best forum software you can get. As you may know vBulletin fell through the roof recently and lost almost it's entire community. Anyways I'm glad you signed up and I look forward to seeing you on the site!

Thanks for the welcome! It's a bit of a shame that I discovered it before leaving for my soccer game this evening. I'll probably be on more tomorrow morning and afternoon. I've seen a bit of Xenforo 2, haven't used or explored it much. I'll do a bit of that as well during my free time to become more familiar.

Wasn't aware of the vBulletin community collapse, what happened?

And vBulletin still has a customer base I would say but they have lost almost all their add-on developers and vbulletin.org the site they distribute their add-ons on is practically dead. Anyways yeah Xenforo 2 is much more user friendly. Been using it for years and became addicted recently to the overwhelming community support and great add-ons you can use to improve the site. It's a great user experience. Anyways I look forward to speaking with you more!

I found about Xenforo a long time ago, myself been a MyBB and IPB user in the past but now XF is the one i like the most.

I knew about the loss of most of the vBulletin development team, most of them transitioned to working on xenForo, I remember. I've seen that there's still some users using vbulletin.org, checked on there a time or two myself to get some of the graphic resources like ranks.
Looking forward to contributing to the community as well.
