Have you ever used cheats on an online multiplayer game?

I see people on Steam with "VAC Ban" marked on their account often. 

I don't understand why people use cheats in online multiplayer games, especially when it's their main accounts with all of their games. 

So I have to ask, have you ever used cheats in such a game? What made you decide to cheat and were you caught?

Sometimes they have cheats in an online multiplayer game that's built into the game and allowed like Skyrim Special Edition. Most of these often are only on single player but there's a fine line between cheats and modding. Where modding you get banned a lot. It's pointless for someone to mod especially not only on their main account but on their main console or even network since they console ban you after the first time. Many people modded on original xbox and that was harder to get banned. They didn't console ban you often back in those days so you could have your fun and I did that when I was 12 just for a high rank in Halo 2 but those days are long past.

Yes I did, it was fun, I didn't ruin any ones fun to be honest, I just flew around a bit and that's about it, that was in World of Warcraft private servers. And a long time ago I used XRay on minecraft servers xD cracked ones. Other than that I never used hacks dont wanna be banned.

I have used cheats but only in a good way and not fully cheat the game. I rather play the game as it is rather than cheat myself. But at times you gotta cheat to move into the game. 

I used to cheat mostly for the sake of building things or from being able to do whatever I want in games that you build, rather than spending game hours collecting materials and then making them into what I need to, like bricks and that can take time. So much time that can take me a day to get them all just to make half a building. Games like The FOrest, Eco, scrap mechanic, Raft and ehatnot

I don't use cheating and I never will. I don't believe in such ways of "playing" the game. I rather learn and be a skillful player than be someone who doesn't have any sense about what's going on and ruin the game for others.

I have used cheat codes a couple of times. That is one of the ways that you can have an edge over a rival in a game.

I haven't really played a lot of online multiplayer games so I haven't considered using cheat in them.

I play call of duty though but I don't see any reason to use cheat since I am also equally good at the game.

I don't use cheat in multiplayer games, I Know I did in the past with my single player games like Grand theft auto sahandres but I don't use cheat Codes anymore.

I don't use cheats, my primary motive of playing game is to have fun, willing or progressing does not actually matter, what matters is genuine accomplishment.
