Hi, i've been dealing with the famous 30-years-young crisis.

I'm 29 and i'm pretty much don't know what future might be for me and to be honest i'm a little bit afraid. I've got no savings at all.

RE: Doubts About The Future

You shouldn't be afraid of the future but it does help to try and plan. It's good to prepare and plan. Also a lot of people can't afford schooling but there are schools that offer 2 year degrees for certain things like web development on my end for example which I plan to complete once I get better from being sick. Even if your at that age where you think it's too late, it truly never is too late. If your able to get a loan you could go to school and have a chance at a much better job. Plus even if you decide on not doing that, you can still get a good job. It helps if you have a GED or High School diploma but either way it's possible.

Hi, not all countries share the same destiny, we have the worst educational systems and that also reflects that we are the most corrupted in the world. I think i could get my future assure if i invest well during my productive time but i don't really know.

RE: Doubts About The Future

The future is scary I feel but I think the most important thing to remember is that you are never too old to do what you want to do. It is okay if you do not have an idea of what you want to do yet.. many people change their mind anyway! Do what is safe and what makes you happy, but try to take risks too.

What do you mean by risks? do you think that it's good just to go and live by myself? :O

RE: Doubts About The Future

I'm 35 and still don't know what the future holds, or even what I'd like to achieve in the next decade or so..

I'm currently looking into other job opportunities, which is kinda standard for me - I call it the 'two year itch'. I've been with a new partner for 7 months and things are going well, I'd like to think we'll still be together but if anything I've learnt not to count on anything. Prior to 2020 I'd have said I'd hope to still be married - time changes things! I paid off my debts last year and started some savings..

As part of my anxiety and depression, I try not to look too far in to the future.. It doesn't do me any favours.

RE: Doubts About The Future

I'm older than all of you lol I will tell you this, as you get older, you don't worry about the future as much. You focus more on living in the Now.

Planning, preparing, saving are always good to do. However, don't ever lose sight of the present. Before you know it, that time will be gone & you'll have some regrets. Those would'ves could'ves should'ves.

But, with all this being said, I was that age & I DO know that if somebody told me the above, I'd roll my eyes at them :)

RE: Doubts About The Future

Middle age crisis is something majority of people go through. Planning for the future should start early in life. Having said that the current pandemic has claimed so many jobs that I believe the number of jobless population is increasing like never before. Even the savings have been utilised and many are left with little or no savings. But I would suggest not to get frustrated. Depression can only lead to problems. So be positive. Time is still in your favor. Motivate yourself to work a little bit harder to achieve your goal. Be happy and believe in yourself and hopefully your future will be as bright as you ever wanted it to be.

RE: Doubts About The Future

I am 25 and so much optimistic about the bright future. I try to pick lessons from every bad experience and try to change my plans. I never look back and set values to those plans. It’s about being optimistic also.

I don't really know what you want to be doing with a girlfriend when you don't have a job or any money?

Go and get a job and a life my friend and stop thinking about girls because they are not going to do you any good but rather take the remaining money you have left.

What's stopping you from getting employed and get useful with your life? At 29 years old, you are no longer a kid but an adult that is supposed to have his responsibilities.

RE: Doubts About The Future

One thing about the future is that it's never certain. So, even with the situation you've been in now, it can automatically change tomorrow.

You shouldn't kill yourself too much about that because at one point in time, we all had the same experience as well. So, work hard and make money.
