Does anyone think obama care was meant to keep tabs on people?

I got an idea, ever since obama care, where your required to sign up for health care or your breaking the law, I've had this notion the whole thing was just meant to keep tabs on people. You know, put them in the system. You get put in a computer where your current address is always known. Seems to me someone just wanted to know where everyone was living. Or at least those who weren't "breaking the law".

I'd like to see what the community thinks about any notion it was meant for something else? Possibly even beyond what I had described in this post. What are your ideas...

I'm a republican. But they are going to have a ruff time repealing it. I can say that.

i agree, it was probably meant to spy on us or as you say "keep tabs" .in this day in age i guess thats somthing you should kinda expect from your government tho, if they can find a sneaky way to spy no you then they will i guess, what are we gonna do? lol

i agree, it was probably meant to spy on us or as you say "keep tabs" .in this day in age i guess thats somthing you should kinda expect from your government tho, if they can find a sneaky way to spy no you then they will i guess, what are we gonna do? lol

What interest me about your response is I bet 100-200 years from now everything will be monitored via satellite. They've already caught people from images but in my opinion it will be 24/7 video surveillance via satellite. Not just that but closer to the 200 year mark I bet they'll be able to record everything on a super computer too. Would take a lot to record everything but if they kept deleting previous history let's say every hour or so and had super inspecting capabilities to keep certain footage and data that they believe is suspicious and throw the rest out then this is definitely something that could happen.

Obama has screwed the system from the beginning. Now Trump is trying to bring it back and it will not happen until his second term if he's re-elected. By that time he'll be close to his time running out and it's going to be another democrat again. You can never win with the system we have. Still though the economy is doing really good with Trump. I don't necessarily like him all that much but I don't hate him either. He seems like he's got attitude and I like that. I am a republican. Still, he should be a bit more reserved. Though I think he's starting to learn that more these days as he's getting further into his term. Just some thoughts.

I believe products such as that will come into age waaaay sooner than 200 years, for example every year there are new AMAZING technological advancements so maybe 10-15 years id say. just think about the world 15 years ago; the first iPhone came out and it was horrible to today's standard, and today's world is nothing like 15 years ago. so think about 15 years in the future, i bet things will be very different.

Yeah your right. I was just putting it into perspective. Giving an example. I'm sure things like that could happen ever soon than 100-200 years. Only stating that eventually this could be a possibility with Satellites monitoring us 24/7

You should check out the paranormal section. There's a video of a guy who claimed he traveled a few hundred years into the future. Claimed there was no justice system or states or anything and that everything was controlled by computers. Also says there were cities built into the sky. Not sure if it's real but it has good imagery in the video and gives for an interesting watch.

Well, criticizing big government - I have to say:

• Taking care of people (in various ways) can be done - but who wants a nation of pets?
   
  
• Being a pet of the government has only yielded disaster (the broken family, soaring crime/drug rates)
   
  
• People who are dependent on the government - start as pets, then become pests (Note: the Nazi murder of handicapped persons.).
