Desktop or Laptop for PC gaming?

When it comes to gaming on PC, do you prefer a Desktop or a Laptop setup? For me, due to lack of space in my bedroom for a proper computer desk, I go with gaming laptops. I don't tend to do a ton of gaming on PC but I do like my gaming laptops to have bigger screens such as 18" with a high refresh rate. (120 or higher)

What about you? Do you prefer a desktop or laptop for PC gaming?

When it comes to PC gaming, I don't mind either a laptop or a PC but I feel a laptop gives me more freedom as to where I can be in the house or even outside in the garden when playing games.

Desktop all the way! They are way more powerful than a laptop, bigger screens better graphics and, much cheaper over all. Over the years, all of my gaming PCs have been desktop computers.

Desktops you can make them more powerful. I would prefer to use a Desktop for PC gaming with a wireless controller.

I'd consider a laptop for gaming primarily for mobility. Desktops definitely allow for more configuration though.

In my opinion, it depends on what your gaming needs are. If you're travelling a lot but still want to enjoy some gaming, the laptop is a no-brainer. Desktops are more customizable and self-repairable especially if you built it from scratch but it's also expensive. Overall, you can't go wrong with either.

A desktop is pretty good for gaming. The most important thing is being able to enjoy the games that I am playing. I have the desktop that got a bigger screen than my laptop and playing games on it is much more better for me.

Desktop, Laptop, handheld (Steamdeck, etc), in my opinion, are the best options for PC gaming.
Funny enough, I have all three. I have gaming PC I built in the past year, an MSI gaming laptop, and a Steam Deck (handheld). I think the Asus ROG Ally is fantastic handheld as well as the Legion GO.

I've wanted a Steam Deck for a while, but cannot currently afford it. I just got a new chair and StreamDeck for automation purposes on my PC.
