Canada has an image of being easy-going and cool and often Anti-American.   However, their quest for being independent of the US could lead them to being taken advantage of by really strong enemies of the US.

Of course, I can't blame Canada for wanting to be independent of Washington.  A lot of Americans, themselves, feel the same way.

China remains an important partner for Canada's economic development. China is Canada's second most important bilateral commercial partner. Canada's relationship with China is long-standing and dates from well before the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1970. Canada's anti American views suits well with the chinese. The current chinese regime is very shrewd in doing business as was evident in many parts of the world. Canada should be on guard while doing business with the chinese in my opinion.

China's large population would like to expand into China, maybe.  I'm not trying to spread hate on here.  In other words, China's liking of Canada should be taken with a grain of salt.
