There's a whole world of browser extensions out there that no one pays attention to. Very little people ever go to the google chrome store or the firefox store and see what type of browser extensions you can get. Other then development tools, and there's a lot.

What good browser extensions would you pass on to the site as a suggestion to use?

RE: Browser Extensions

Only one I really use is LastPass, easy way of creating unique passwords for all sites.

RE: Browser Extensions

I used to use one called LiveEdit for CSS. I now just use the one that reloads automatically. I may check that out.

Looking for other suggestions from the community.

I use webpage capture, advance spell/grammar check and dark web page to make white backgrounds dark.

RE: Browser Extensions

Thought I would leave this link with some incredibly helpful free chrome extensions for Search Engine Optimization. Currently using one called SEO quake which seems to be the best free one. A lot of these are free but some require a subscription and aren't even worth trying. The different types for SEO purposes including backlinks and keyword analysis. SEO quake is amazing. It even shows how many facebook likes you have, how many backlinks, and a ton of other stuff.

RE: Browser Extensions

I try to have as little as possible browser extensions, it looks cleaner.

That said, I have a password manager extension and a adblock extension

RE: Browser Extensions

I'm currently not sporting any extensions on Microsoft Edge.. Their extensions store is still pretty pathetic (yes, I know you can use Chrome extensions).

On Firefox I was using WebP image converter and Tampermonkey.

RE: Browser Extensions

I'm very picky with the browser extensions that I use because I don't want my browser to be overloaded with them so I find that these are pretty vital: Grammarly, Honey, uBlock Origin, and Bitwarden.

Yeah 1@Ash[/uSER] honey is a good one. It's always good to get coupon discounts that you might not know about. I don't use grammarly because most forums have grammar checks built in and it's not often I'm righting essays and things like that. Your right about overloading your browser though. I noticed Firefox has become draggy and a bit slow recently. Though Chrome did obtain a huge speed boost.

Honey, which has already been mentioned in this discussion is an excellent extension. It rewards you cashback and scans for any coupon codes to save additional cash. AdBlocker is another great tool, which is available on the Chrome Extension Store if you hate ads.

I use extensions for:

  • Evernote

  • Mix.com

  • Microsoft Editor

  • uBlock Origin

  • DuckDuckGo

  • Bitwarden

  • Privacy Badger (only on Firefox)

  • LanguageTool (also only on Firefox)

Only one I really use is LastPass, easy way of creating unique passwords for all sites.
I've used LastPass in the past, but a while back every single password I had saved using that service somehow got corrupted and I lost hundreds of passwords and access to some really good communities.:mad::cry: I now use Bitwarden instead and it seems better than Lastpass.

RE: Browser Extensions

I use Last Pass and that is it for browser extensions. There are so many but I worry about unnecessary clutter and viruses.

Can't we restore our password if once lost? There should be some option to backup data. Otherwise that would be very dangerous, if all our data gets corrupted.

I'm sure Lastpass has a backup feature, but I never used it because I never thought about the possibility that all of my passwords one day would get corrupted. I had been using Lastpass for years without any problems. But like I mentioned before, I now use Bitwarden instead and I try to remember to do a backup now and then.

RE: Browser Extensions

On Firefox, I have a automatic reload addon, auto fill addon, a screenshot addon, and text and page translator addon, if I ever need to use it. In most cases, those addons covers my use for what I need in most cases.

AdBlock — best ad blocker

That's the name. I don't know if it's the "best ad blocker"

Grammarly

Sometimes when I'm writing just in case. It isn't always accurate, unfortunately.

That's it. I try not to use a lot of browser extensions. I think I uninstalled Google Docs by mistake but it doesn't really matter since I don't open them often.

I use multiple browser extension, currently I use metamask for crypto, Grammarly for grammar and language checking, 360 total internet security to block suspicious sites, and Hoxx VPN for hiding my IP when needed.
