Can't even if I wanted to, near impossible to buy a GPU thanks to covid and crypto mining. Plus I never spend more than the market vaule on an item.

I have a GTX960 and it seems to suffice. I'd like a GTX1080Ti once prices come down. Or maybe an RTX. :)

That's incorrect. There's the RTX 3090 which is more expensive.

But to get back on topic, the RTX 3080 is a beast. It's the perfect mix between the RTX 3070 and the RTX 3090. Really glad Nvcidia decided to release it because I don't think I would have been happy with the RTX 3070.

I'm running a GTX 1660TI that's also the overclocking edtion. Well, out of all the 1600 series the Asus 1660TI is the only top card that you can get your hands on. It's the same as the 1070TI I hear but better memory as it's an GDDR6. Anyway I always wanted to get my hands on 3000 series, I do not even care if it's an 3060 as it's still far better then the 1600 series.

Aren't long and then the 4000 series are out  - Why tal about cards anyway as we all know that we can't even get our hands on them as the market is being pooping. RTX 3080 is like $1500

I upgraded from a 2070 super to a 3080, and I went from extreme settings with modest raytracing at 50-60 frames per second to everything maxed out with raytracing on psycho and everything at 75 frames per second. All at 1440p DLSS quality.
