Has anyone tried Sakè?

I recently bought Four Fox Sakè. It's yet to arrive but I'm looking forward to it. Even if I don't like it, I'll be getting another one for display.

I didn't like it. I dunno if i had the "true" one since is was made by Nikkei (Japanese Descendants).. it was way too sweet for me.

The Four Fox Sakè that I got is apparently premium Sakè. It finally arrived today. I had a couple of sips to try it. I don't like it.

When I first read this I thought you meant the restaurant Sake. Now I realize you mean the liquor itself. I haven't tried it but I would in a heart beat if I had any and I bet it's pretty good.

It tasted like beer. It wasn't enjoyable.

One of my friends emigrated to Japan about 10 years ago to escape his UK debts.. He usually comes back every Christmas to visit family and friends (last year was a bit of a no-go), and he sometimes brings back the "genuine" items from Japan that he wants us to try - Saké was one of them.

Honestly I can't really remember the taste (I don't think it tasted like beer though), I just remember the warmth in my belly shortly afterwards.. :giggle:

I'm not one to drink but I would be willing to give it a try, on a nice snowy evening.
