Anybody want/ wanted to be an Astronaut?

My dream when I was young was to be an Archaeologist & an Astronaut. Odd huh lol To look into the past but also the future. I don't have the mathematics know-how to even try. Not to mention, close quarters. Was still a nice dream that paved the way for me to be an amateur astronomer. I was in middle school (almost telling my age lol) when the Challenger Space Shuttle exploded. I remember an episode on Punky Brewster that touched on it. While it was very deep what happened, I think they did that episode very well for young kids.

Did you go to Space Camp? Apply to NASA? I think it would've been very cool to go to Space Camp! They do have an Adult Astronaut Camp. Just found that out!

Being an astronaut would be amazing but so hard if there was a real planet you could go to. Space Travel and going to other planets would be a life changing experience but would be some of the most ruff once you get to the planet.

Funnily enough I remember wanting to be an astronaut when I was little, but got put off by my parents saying "if you go to space you can't come back!"

I'm not entirely sure why they told me that, but.. I'm not sure I'd have been cut out for it anyway in hindsight! :ROFLMAO:

It would be nice to do a space trip, i always knew that being an astronaut was something just for the rich or very talented people.

In my case i was really into making ships, cars and space ships! always wanted to be the guy that tests the machines.

Never went to space camp.

Haven't even considered applying to NASA. I heard it's difficult to get in too. 

But I don't really want to be an astronaut. I wouldn't mind going to space as a tourist though.

Probably pretty low. But if you put the work in people can really do anything they want. Plus this is all a simulation anyway when you do tend to start   I'm not in that group to be one

Space travel was always something I have had an admiration for I hope that someday space travel becomes affordable and open to the public.

I didn't have my eyes on space travel. So no such thoughts of being an astronaut went through my mind anytime. But I was always crazy of flying and wanted to be a pilot flying an aircraft. Unfortunately, that also did not materialize. But no regrets, though.
