I'm putting together two new computers: one for my brother (his birthday is approaching) and one for my cousin. I am a frugal guy, yet I cannot compromise on performance. So, which processor would be better in terms of performance, an Intel or an AMD CPU?
Depends on what activities you'll be doing. Tho, I would go with AMD all the way. They provide excellent value and more future proof platforms than Intel. Also, they tend to be cooler than Intel now.
Honestly speaking, IO have never used a computer using AMD. I have always used Intel and I don't know how AMD and Intel differs based on the performance.
