As a PC gamer, Steam is absolutely useful and I've been using it for over a decade. A very competent platform to buy games and I don't really have anything bad to say about it. Steam has a HUGE catalogue of games. I do have a PS5 but I buy my games from their digital store.
Huge PC gamer here. I started off as a console player but in the 2010s, I transitioned over to main PC gaming and I haven't really looked back. Mind you, I do own consoles like a Nintendo Switch and a PS5 but the PC is my main gaming device.

Skyrim SE/AE, GTA V (Online), Fallout 4, DMC 5, and Armored Core VI. Honestly, my list is short as I could name hundreds of other PC games that I love for various reasons.

Funny enough, I have all three. I have gaming PC I built in the past year, an MSI gaming laptop, and a Steam Deck (handheld). I think the Asus ROG Ally is fantastic handheld as well as the Legion GO.
Just like others have stated here, I used to own lots of hard copies of games but I've gone the digital route over the past decade. The reason being, I don't have a lot of space to store games at my place, and if that hard copy gets a scratch or something, it could render the game useless. Mind...
