Have any of you guys have looked and researched into your street history where you live or just the town you are in?

village and the name were back in the Vikings times, I'm in Yorkshire area in the UK and it's full of history wherever you go. Anyway, It's cool to look up the history of it all. The house that I'm in was build back in the 1890s and the building next to my home is even more older that used to be the shop back in the late 1800s and 1900s

RE: Your Home street History

Charleston has a lot of history in North Carolina where I live. That's the town with the most history out of any probably the top in the entire world. I live near Charlotte and there isn't as much grown history but it's good to know the details in your area. Can't say too much for where I live now only because I haven't checked but I went on a ghost tour in Charleston one time and always found it interesting place to visit.

Mine just changed the name. The name was given now after a war hero that died in the recent war of yougoslavia in 99. It's nice of them to do it, but I'd still rather have they did it to a newer street now I have to change all my documents.

RE: Your Home street History

I really can't track the history of my current location because I parked in there five years ago. But when it comes to home town, where I was given birth to, then I can offer it's brief history.

I was born and raised in ikwerre-ngwo etche, Rivers State, Nigeria. The house we first occupied was built by my Grand parents around 1970s, then we parked in to the one my biological father built, which was in 2005. We moved out of there due to conflict with villagers, to our current location still in Rivers State Nigeria in 2016.
