Who Are You Hosting With?

Picking the right perfect hosting server(s) can be a very hard job you know, from working out what you after or really needed at the right price. Yeah, Price is very important for me. In fact, I always try and get a deal and look at sales time.

Who are you with then, what keeps your site or blog alive for 24 hours. Why did you want with them, what made you pick them rather then others out there in the world and where is your server based   I do like to know what cafe discussion is hosted with, I can tell then if it's good or the bad or the dumb  

PS: E.I.G are the worst, we all say it. But end of the day you have to go who you think that it's the best for you. Right?

When I decided to launch my first self hosted blog, I signed up with iPage because I was personally recommended by so many people I trusted. However, when I reached payment page, iPage did not accept payment because my paypal was not verified. Then I did a quick research for low cost hosting and found Namecheap. I have been with namecheap since 2015 and I have no regrets.

1@Empire[/uSER] I do not host with EIG companies either. We host with a self-managed company called Host Rush. You can view their plans at https://www.hostrush.com

Right now I have a permanent plan with 75 GB disk space SSD storage, 4 cores, and 8 GB ram all for $42/half-year. So I'm paying a little over $80 a year for a very good virtual private server which is excellent speed for the site. I can now say that I plan to upgrade the ram to around 12 gb and 100 gb ssd once we get more active posters. Then when were huge it will be 24 gb ram and 8 cores which is the plan. Would just cost me around $225/year just for the the 24 gb ram and 8 cores so this is the gold mine. It's self-managed of course and there's 1 person working support which seems to do an excellent job with requests as long as your not requiring help every single day. I handle it all on my own and use virtualmin/webmins free control panel which has been perfect for me.

Never tried any thing except shared hosting. I have over 20 sites on Namecheap shared hosting plan. My websites  are small, do not have huge traffic, and do not use a lot of resources, therefore, the shred hosting plan is perfectly ok for me. I pay around $5 per month for my shared hosting plan. Furthermore, most of my sites do not deal with financial data (I do not collect payment on site), therefore, I have never felt the need for VPS or even dedicated Servers.
