To be honest, my absolute favorite pokemon game of all time is Gold and Silver. Was the best time I ever had. Played it on gameboy color. I enjoy the retro pokemon games much better than the new ones. The ones on the 3ds are fun but they aren't near as enjoyable as the ones on the original DS in my personal opinion. The gameboy color games and games on the original DS were so much better. When they try to put it on the 3ds in my opinion it became a bit child-like and childish for my enjoyment.

Other good games I enjoyed on the DS was white and black and pokemon platinum. They're releasing a pokemon RPG for the Nintendo Switch soon for anyone who has one. But yea these are some great games to check out. What's your favorite?

I enjoy emerald the most, the dynamic of the story is great in my opinion. I absolutely hate black and white , they are no fun at all, i despise almost everything about them.

1@Andox88[/uSER] I never played Emerald so that's interesting. I think that's one of the few I never had a chance to play. But pokemon White was a great game in my opinion. I really enjoyed it a lot. I beat the entire thing and won the match with the last boss on the first try. I remember I had my last pokemon with literally hardly any health at all and managed to win right in the nick of time. Got lucky.

Lol Idk how you deal with white. I finished it but didnt like it the whole way through but I'm a stubborn ass so I finished it anyway.

Yeah that was a good one too. I played red and blue back on gameboy color. I just thought that Gold and Silver had to be my favorite. For 3DS/DS it's Soul Silver and Heart Gold.

My pick would be Pokemon Silver, i can't remember how much time i spent raising my pokemon, trading with my friends and even battling on foreign countries with other fellow trainers. Those times were magic and also the music was GREAT. I miss Goldenrod City/Olivine City the most, that chilling tune... Feeding miltanks with berries so they could heal.. getting Lugia/Ho-oH..

Battling Ash and also Gary! that game had it everything!

Also My Party was:

Thyphlosion - FIRE

Tyranitar - DARK-EARTH

Lugia - Flying

Suicune - Water

Raikou - Lightning

Dragonite - Dragon (Dratini on the Dragon Cave)

I can't remember if i completed my pokedex or not.. but what a time to be alive! that was like 15 years ago.

I still play from time to time on my phone, now i stopped using legendaries. My favorite pokemon is Ampharos and also the cutest one :3

the first pokemon game I ever played and actually enjoyed was Soul Silver. Since then I've been playing Platinum, which I enjoy a lot. But I spent an entire summer playing that game and I still enjoy it a lot. I'm pretty sure it's a tie between those two, they always make me happy. Pokemon is such a good game honestly, I don't care how old you are it's literally for anyone.

Pokemon emerald was the first pokemon game I really got into, so that holds a special place in my heart.

Definitely Platinum, due to my childhood memories. It was reasonably difficult, but too much so, which is something that's missing from the new pokemon games.

I thoroughly enjoyed platinum myself. One of the best pokemon games there ever was next to silver and gold. I'm still waiting for them to release a way to place GBC/GBA/DS/3DS games on the Switch. Possibly release them to buy on the eShop. Would definitely buy tons of them if they did. At least Pokemon Sword is releasing at the end of this year and a 3DS style Zelda game called Links Awakening
