What themes do you like for your blog or forum?

What companies do you use?  What do you find especially interesting about themes you like?  Do you feel the prices are reasonable?  Do you ever run into deals where you can get them cheaper or free?  Who can design a theme?     If you can, please tell me more about it.

RE: What themes do you like for your blog or forum?

Sometimes I like making my own theme. Which is what I did here. I decided to actually make my own. That made me incredibly happy and it's everything I wanted out of a theme because I designed in myself. I like them a mixture of simple and professional but I want a small bit of difference about it where it's not too simple either.

This days, I am more of loving the white coloured themes via any website I visited, just like I've liked the current one of 'Cafediscussions forum. If in the future, I decide to own a forum, I'll go for a white coloured theme that isn't too shiny.

I don't remember the exact name of the themes I am using on my blogs and forums. Generally speaking, I use free themes. I have spent money on themes only on a few occasions. I choose a theme based on my niche and color preference.

Personally, I’m a fan of themes that balance aesthetics with functionality. A clean, minimalist design that’s easy on the eyes, coupled with intuitive navigation, really enhances the user experience. I believe that a theme should complement the content, not overshadow it.

I’ve dabbled a bit in theme design myself and find that it’s a rewarding challenge. It’s like putting together a puzzle where every piece must fit perfectly to create a cohesive whole. And when you see your vision come to life and others enjoy it, there’s no better feeling!

Most of the time I tend to use free themes unless there is a theme I find that is paid and I know it suits my forum and will be something I use long term.

I have used Themehouse and XTR in the past for my themes.
