Do you use a screenshot utility?

I have been using Lightshot for a few years. It's definitely an improvement over the way Windows handles screenshots in my opinion, and the option to upload your screenshot instantly and get a URL comes in handy.

RE: Screenshot Utility

Might come in handy. Personally I use the built in keyboard function which is the Windows Key + Prt Sc

I find that it copies it to your clipboard automatically and a simple paste onto a forum, blog, or otherwise isn't too shabby. A lot of people aren't aware you can paste it right after you screenshot it but neat trick. Sometimes I need to make edits so I just pull up Windows paint.

I do use Imgur a lot when I need to upload the image then to able to share the images if the site doesn't offer their own upload option or the image is too big. Regards taken them, I use the builtin tool called "Snipping Tool" that's built into windows itself :)

I too use snipping tool. It's easy and handy using it. Unlike as 1@TopSilver[/uSER] mentioned, clicking Print Scrn and then pasting it to paint for cropping and saving file, eats a lot of time. Using snipping tool makes it faster and more convenient.

RE: Screenshot Utility

Never heard of snipping tool. You don't have to paste it into paint. You can paste it anywhere. The point I was trying to make is people don't know the image is copied when they use Prt Sc. But it is. If you require cropping then that may be different.

Okay. I never used windows + Prnt Scrn. But anyway, for cropping I would have to open editing tools again, and that's the same thing I've mentioned.
Using snipping tool, we can select the area for screenshot. It doesn't capture the whole screen, instead you can select the area. Hope the following tutorial would help you get my point.

Now that you mention that I have noticed Windows 10 has that built in. So either way it gets the job done. I suppose my way would only be if you wanted to do a quick copy-paste but I had forget they had that built in.

RE: Screenshot Utility

I either use my prnt key along with paint or windows snip program. I see no reason to get a third party software for something like this.
