Making an effort to make a new logo for a gaming clan, any tips on how to make this better?[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

Possibly giving a more metallic layer to the flames might be a start. Possibly the red on the letters too. I know photoshop has the ability to make things metallic. Everything past the red is perfect already but if you possibly made the red areas metallic I think your client or friend would be impressed.

The flames look somewhat blurred, and the glow effect on the text feels a little dated..

They're the two things I'd focus on for improvements.

I would recommend making the dF more bold? Like more solid, and stands out more if you get what I mean.
