Why the US uses the imperial system? Like, even NASA doesn't use imperial system anymore. It's just so inferior.

The imperial system is still generally used throughout the UK.. ;)

It's just whatever you're brought up with, I guess.

The only problem i have with the US is that they use commas to separate thousands and dots between decimals.. we use it the other way round and it confuses me a bit when i'm buying something online lol.

I guess because of the US but in Australia we see 1 thousand dollars as. $1,000(.00). I looked up a couple months ago what the correct way is for my country, and here it is: 1 thousand dollars = $1 000(.00)
But in terms of buying things, I only see $1,000 or $1000.
