Have you ever made homemade pasta?

I made 2 huge batches of homemade fettuccine for my daughter's boyfriend who is vegan. The first batch was just plain and the second was basil and it smells so good. I can't wait to boil a little bit of it that I put aside for dinner for myself and my husband.

RE: Homemade Pasta?

I think the thing that people really go wild for is fresh pasta rather than dried pasta. Lots of people have never had it, and are pretty amazed at the difference the first time they try it. But fresh pasta from a good local shop is going to be great too, it's such a simple recipe, the only difference is that they will be mixing their dough in industrial stand-mixers and then rolling it out in a larger pasta press.

It's like bread, fresh bread is great, you can make it at home, but you can also get a great loaf from any good bakery.

I am an expert in making different recipes with pasta like fettucine alfredo, tomamto chicken , baked tuna and corns pasta, and lasagna as well.

[/QUOTE]I have watched like 3 different YouTube videos on how to make pasta but can't really get myself to do it yet. I have this feel that I'm not going to get it rightly done.

I'm not a fan of lasagna but maybe it's because of how it's being made. If you can make another and show me a video clip how you would do it.

This has been very helpful for me. I'm still learning it and I'm very sure that within some days that I'm going to be good to go with trying to prepare it.
My sister does all the cooking in the house, so I don't need to know how to cook the food since she's always available to do the meal all the time.

Home made anything is always worth it. Even if you happen to screw up a few times the end product is always better than pre-made... At least in my eyes/stomach. Also, Noodles will last a long time if you dry them properly. If left without cooking or drying, generally, they won't last long.

I hardly cook anything as long as my woman is around. I can help her with with the cooking but not starting it myself and finishing it. I rather employ a cook.

If you can pay me very well, I would be open to being your cook since you don't cook and your woman wouldn't be around all the time. What do you think?

Seriously, it's why I find it very difficult to eat outside home because the meal they cook at home is so tasty I hate anything cooked outside.
