Have you ever gotten in trouble for reading? For example, have you ever gotten into trouble at school/work because you were reading instead of doing your work? How much trouble did you get into?
So interesting this oxymoron. Because most people in school get in trouble for "not" reading rather then actually reading. I can't recall a time where I did get in trouble for reading. The closest I can come in when I told my 5th grade teacher a good magazine to read was playboy and then got locked in a janitors closest as punishment.
I actually got in trouble for doing homework when I was supposed to be reading. I wasn't trying to avoid reading; I saw several other students doing homework and assumed it was an option. Whoops!
Never got in trouble for reading, as I tend to read through text books most of the way through, to avoid having to keep up with homework. Most of the "getting into trouble", usually revolves around forgetting to do homework when I was in school.
On many occasions I have got into trouble for reading my favorite story books during my school days. I was an avid reader of fiction novels and comic books. As and when I get an opportunity, I used to read story books instead of doing my school studies and it did affect my scores in academics. I was reprimanded many times for this by my parents and teachers. I corrected myself and rescheduled my leisure reading hours so as to not affect my studies.
