Have you ever created forums on wordpress site? What plugin did you use? Did you like it? Well, I have tried forums on wordpress and I used multiple plugins and my favorite was wpforo. If you want to run a forum but do not have money to buy software or do not have skills to use forum software, you can try wordpress.

It is very simple process. You install wordpress and then look for forum plugin. There are many to choose from. When a forum plugin is activated, through your forum dashboard you can create category and forums.

So Word Press is like another provider like Xenforo, MyBB Etc

Yes, it is a software to create different kinds of websites. It has two version, one, you use as a hosted solution, and two, you use it as content management system to create different kinds of websites.

you can use wordpress.org, which is a content management system just like phpbb and xenforo. You can use wordpress.com either to create free or paid website and you don't need a separate hosting for this

If I was to do a blog I would be very interested in trying an add-on which integrates WordPress with Xenforo. I'm not sure on the price but that would likely be the easiest thing.

I used to mess around with bbpress which is Wordpress forum plugin but I never decided to start a site with it. Considering it's free some people might choose it but personally if I was using free software (which were not on this site we use xenforo 2 which cost $190 I think) but if I was using free software it would be myBB which seems to be the best. BB Press is a bit too simple for me even though minimalistic simplicity is good for forums and I like that way too but BB Press is a bit too simple. If you were already using wordpress for your site though, then it would be a good choice.

As for me, I tried to create forums on WordPress, and I used plugins like bbPress. They are both good platforms, but I’ve heard many good things about wpForo. If you want to use them, I would advise you go for the paid version of you want to have access to all the important features.
