Environmentalism

A lot of right-wing supporters in the US know about the joke of the Hollywood elitists who burn so much fuel with their airline travel that it equals more plastic burning and maybe even car fuel burning than what an average American would ever do - and especially someone in a developing nation.  Is there any "fuel" to this accusation?     Is it really logical say that recycling can really make a difference these days?

RE: Environmentalism

Recycling does make a difference. Throwing trash in the ocean causes fish to die. Global warming also causes glaciers to melt. And if they melt enough, the polar ice caps raise the sea level and it causes harm over time.

What 1@TopSilver[/uSER] explained us simply ideal. Recycling if those waste or used products is ideal, simply to protect the environment, water and those aquatic living things to live.  If it is thrown steadily via the river side, it's simply contagious and it cause pollution which is dangerous to aquatic animals survival.

RE: Environmentalism

We all have been talking about recycling and in fact practicing it too for quite sometime now.   If we are able to reduce the usage of things  like plastics and garments, that would definitely reduce the garbage generated by us.  The use and throw practice extending into most of our daily routine has increased the amount of trash generated everyday by multifold.

RE: Environmentalism

Recycling can reduce the emission of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane that contribute to global climate change. Meanwhile, usage of non-bio-degradable products must also be banned so that these things make a positive impact on our nature.

RE: Environmentalism

Global warming is one of the most serious issue at present. Drastic weather changes and unpredictable climate are all attributed to global warming. But are the governments doing anything about it seriously. True they jet around continents conducting meetings and trying to find breakthrough solutions. But is this enough. At the rate our environment is deteriorating, things will get worse in another decade, which is scary. Fuel certainly is one of the reason, no doubt. Many countries have introduced electric vehicles to offset environmental pollution. I am sure fuel burnt in the aircraft too contribute to the problem. Wildfires which destroys forests aggrevate the situation. Random utilisation of natural resources and destruction of nature by mankind makes sure that our planet is on the death bed. Ironically instead of finding ways to mend the damage governments are busy funding space travel.
