Does isolation for big powers work these days?

Well, Trump was trying to move the USA away from it.  In a sense, I couldn't blame him.   I mean, why have troops in Germany, Japan, South Korea etc. when they are heavily resented, and of course, why aren't these rich nations simply paying something approaching a full bill for defense?

Nonetheless, though, we see with Putin's invasion of the Ukraine that this idea isn't an easy matter.  Basically, it's a proven failure.  Well, it is, assuming you don't want to ignore smaller nations "real independence".

Well, he has his reasons and while he is doing it, I think they pushed him into taking that decision.

These leaders all have their reasons for making different laws but taking innocent lives to achieve a particular cause isn't right.

I believe that the US should stop meddling with the affairs of other countries and should withdraw troops form other countries. However, sometimes this looks necessary especially in the country like South Korea. If there are no US troops in South Korea, North Korea will attack the country any time.
