I have learned most of my page specific content skills using the coreldraw. Like say if you want something done with the icon and other graphics. I think a lot of folks prefer either inkscape, coreldraw or the adobe illustrator for this type of the desktop publishing. In near future I want to use such apps for making various types of graphics.

Have you used Coreldraw?

RE: CorelDraw

I haven't used it for many years (it must be at least 20).. but I didn't like it, I found it pretty cumbersome to do the most basic of tasks in comparison to similar applications.

Although they bought out JASC Paint Shop Pro, so perhaps it's improved since. I'll stick with Adobe Photoshop though I think.. :p

CorelDraw is great, it has classic interfaces and easy access to all tools which makes creator to use it friendly.

RE: CorelDraw

I have used Corel Draw for over 20 years. I started out having a friend give me his old software when he upgraded to the new for his business and it worked out great. Then when my husband's office was closing they had a brand new box of Corel 12 that they were going to throw out so my husband brought it home.

Have you ever had any glitches with the software? I've had trouble with invisible background on some of my exports.

I haven't tried it. Will think about downloading it but dependent on how much it cost. Transparent backgrounds in gimp, all you have to do is add a transparency channel and then click the Escape button. The selection editor is also quite easy as it can tell where you want to put the transparency at. I usually use the selection editor then click ESC.
