All site updates will be posting via this sticky thread to avoid clutter and repeated announcements.

Update 2-20-2021 - Node Icons Changed back to font awesome. I decided that the icons looked better with Font Awesome 5 and changed it back. I believe I am satisfied with the result.

So I switched the theme for a day but had second thoughts because of how long we had this one. I really just want to see us get more traffic is why I considered it. I am going to start buying and investing in certain domains that will give us the push we need to get more registrations. I just don't feel the need to have another theme when we've come so far on this. Another reason was honestly because it's so much easier to make changes on the theme were using now. I hope you understand.

I've done some tweaks on the Pixel Exit style. I think were good now.

Node spacers via the style framework were added to the forum nodes and also an optional style that includes the navigation as a sidebar was also added. I considered making this the default theme but I have now decided against it as default. Sidebar navigation is a good thing to have but it can cause at least me to feel a bit boxed in. Though if you prefer easy access to the navigation go to style chooser at the bottom > Cafe Discussions Version 4.8 Light - Side Nav or Cafe Discussions Version 4.8 Dark - Side Nav. As stated this is now available but optional.~TopSilver

Top Posters of the Month widget has been added as well as a Top Posters of the Month area in members.

EDIT: I have removed the widget for now but plan to add it back later.

I have updated the node-icons. About 5 or so were changed and some much needed opacity added. We are set now.

Latest Update 7-11-2021

I have changed the colors of the navigation on also the sidebar one more time. I wanted a bit lighter colors to be mixed in with the dark brown and thought the sidebar looked better like this.

We should be able to get settled in now with the overall look.

I've updated the forum section further to keep it from being too bland. This should be what we stick with from now on. Date changed ~ 7-12-2021

The Logo was updated a few days ago and will remain to be this Logo officially.

I have no intention of changing it again and we can now brand Cafe Discussions with the new one. 1@Xyphien[/uSER] may have done an excellent job creating our previous logo but in my opinion a user who comes to the site and sees a coffee cup may have thoughts that we are an an actual coffee or cafe forum before having a chance to check on their own to see that we are primarily a discussion based forum. I don't have any intention of changing it again and it was what I had originally wanted to use when I first had in mind to brand the site. Thank you for your understanding.

New widgets were added down below the forum sections and it's now finished and complete.

Latest Announcements, Trending Politics (new threads), Trending Religion & History (new threads) and below that latest members. It's now completed and there should be no more changes.

I moved the new widgets down to the bottom with a custom position. I am satisfied with the appearance of the widgets now and there should be no further editing the site. It's possible I may change the widgets down below or add to it/edit it. It will remain in that area though. I have also updated the forum stats with a neat feature I have not introduced the site to and it's a right-handed side bar with latest members along with a lot of other neat stuff if you click it.

The icon for the sub-forums on the homepage has now changed. I appreciate your support on this matter. I have also neatened up the columns so that each sub-forum is displayed in a 2-column format. I know it looks far better now and we should be good to go. Other small tidy up changes are the breadcrumb above the thread page (which is basically the level links to the homepage) was placed to the top as it was a bit annoying to have a space there. Thank you.

I have updated the section PC Hardware Builds and renamed it to "PC Hardware & Builds" so any type of PC Hardware discussion can be in this forum, even if it's not just for a build. The will broaden topics but also give the ability for users to post about builds as well.

For the sake of being neat I made the awards in the post bit into a carousel. This looks much neater then having them just plain in the post bit and I know you will like the change. It was indeed an option in the add-on only I never used it. Thank you for your cooperation.
