RE: Do you drink alcohol?
I stopped drinking completely as a resolution for 2020, but I'm now drinking again - it was only ever for the year.
I like my ales and Belgian beers. I tend to go for pale ales, and dark Belgian beers.. http://Moonshine and http://Kwak are particular favourites :)
RE: Goldeneye
I never had the opportunity to play through the campaign since I never owned an N64. I played on it briefly at a friend's, but we more or less played split-screen (and of course, he had a huge advantage). Even now, it's notoriously difficult to emulate without lag.
I was pretty...
RE: Mario Kart, any fans on here?
I have fond memories of the original on the SNES, but my favourite has to be Mario Kart 64 - even though I never owned an N64 myself.
Mario Kart Double Dash on the GameCube wasn't far behind either - I loved the concept of switching between 2 characters and...
RE: Dreamweaver
I used it briefly way back when it was originally developed by Macromedia. However, it had a bad habit of adding a tonne of code that simply wasn't required.
I promptly learnt how to write HTML, wrote my first websites using Notepad, and never looked back.
RE: AMD or Nvidia?
Not a custom build, but my new prebuilt PC due to arrive on Monday is an AMD - so I'll go with that..
A320 Motherboard
Ryzen 3100
AMD RX580 8GB
16GB (8GBx2) 3000mhz RAM
480GB SSD
1 TB HD
Cit Flash Case
Fractal Design 500W 80+ PSU
RE: Logos yourself or hire someone else?
I've done both, but the logo for my latest project Umbrella Online is one that I created.
I played around with it as a concept and it just kinda came together.. It probably helped that I did the logo before I even had a style! :D
RE: Anyone still play in PS2?
Sooo.. I've picked up a PS2 slim (wow that thing is small). Decent condition, 2 controllers, 10 games, all for £60 including postage.
I've had a play with the DVD exploit that I've previously mentioned.. It doesn't work with all games, but I'm getting a reasonable...
RE: Do you claim the free games on epic games launcher?
Not really, my laptop wouldn't run them - I claimed one in December as I'd ordered a new Desktop PC, but it unfortunately never arrived..
I do claim the monthly PS Plus games though. Initially I only claimed the ones that I was actually...
RE: Game Modding
As a console gamer, the modding scene is extremely limited - particularly with modern games consoles as it could potentially result in a ban from their online services. I've played a few Genesis ROM hacks, largely consisting of Sonic the Hedgehog variations (http://here) - I've...
RE: Gaming movies
The original Resident Evil film was ok, if a little cheesy in places. I didn't really like the sequels when I first saw them (I've only seen Apocalypse and Extinction), but I've recently purchased the boxset to give them another try. The films are reportedly getting a reboot...
RE: Adding storage space to a Laptop
If your laptop has a CD/DVD drive that isn't used, you could always buy an adapter to install another HDD/SSD in that slot.
I contemplated doing this myself and even bought the adapter, but never went ahead with the install since I still use the CD/DVD drive.
Stop spending money on themes (that all look pretty similar if I'm being honest), and get your forums upgraded to 2.2! :p
Not keen on the logo, I don't know if you're intentionally trying to move away from the "stoner" look, but here's something I've drafted (I didn't draw it)..
Let me know...
RE: How do you like your Steak?
Another fan of medium rare, sometimes with a bit of French mustard otherwise with a sprinkle of salt.. but always with a side of chips and onion rings!
A pint of beer usually washes it down quite nicely too.. ;)
RE: What is the most useful app on your phone?
Other than my web browser, I only really use WhatsApp and my online banking app on a regular basis - both of which are useful for obvious reasons!
My favourite would be My OldBoy! Free - I don't really play games on my mobile, but using this I can...
RE: Christmas Thread
I had a busy, but pleasant Christmas. I saw who I wanted to see, and received some pretty nice gifts.
New Year was a quiet one, but I don't tend to enjoy New Years Eve too much anyway. I'd given up drinking throughout 2020 as a resolution, so enjoyed a beer once midnight...
RE: HP Laptops
I've been using a HP Pavilion (17-e105sa) for the last 8 or 9 years.. It's been pretty reliable, although it's gone through x2 DVD drives - possibly due to heat. The battery is also pretty useless now, but given its age it's somewhat expected. The only upgrades I've done are...
RE: How much would you spend on a bed and mattress?
I'd say about £600-£750 would be my budget, a comfy mattress is a must - I hate waking up after an uncomfortable night with a seized back..
I also don't like cheap metal bedframes, and much prefer something like a Divan.
RE: Are you a saver or a spender?
A bit of both.. Traditionally I'm a saver, although this year I've treated myself a bit more than usual and have been spending.
If you can't do it during a global pandemic, when can you do it.. :p
RE: PSP or DS Lite?
I still have my PSP, although it's now sat gathering dust..
I softmodded it to play many of my favourite PlayStation games, as well as a few retro games from the Genesis and the SNES. Several of my friends have borrowed it when they've gone travelling and have offered...
When I post it, well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who hits the goal for you
When I like it, well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who goes along with you
But I would post 500 posts
And I would post 500 more
Just to be the man that posts a thousand times
To fall down on...
