Google Adsense is the #1 known publisher for webmasters looking to monetize content on their webpages. The difficulty with Google is that they have strict application policies & criteria you and your site must have met before being accepted into the program. Have you tried applying to before? Any success?

RE: Adsense
I made $80 on an old site that I used to have. I never reached the $100 threshold and later shut it down. Because the site was no longer active I tried to close the account and get the $80 sent to me (their rules say you can get anything over $10 if you close the account), but to no avail. Apparently it locked me out of the page to put in your payment information. If my payment method was in there prior to shutting it down I would have been able to receive it.

Originally posted by "Alexander.Sorry to hear that. Have you tried contacting Adsense? I'm not too sure how long ago this was, but you may still be able to recover the funds. I'm still waiting to receive the 4 digit pin code from Adsense which should be coming in the next week or two.

RE: Adsense
In terms of advertisement, Google is the number one for all publishers they are just so big that you have a choice to go with AdSense that you know that you will get the most out of it or others that aren't so big but the payout is less.
But Google is a pain in the god damn butt. After five years still have not got my first payout
My payment was at $100 however I was at $120 at the time and still waiting for my details to be approved to get the money, anyone couple of years ago there was a bad fallout time with the advertisement services, some say it happens every 10 years. Anyway, point saying that google who kicks people for being dicks decided to take 40% away of from publishers so that they do not lose their earnings. So my $120 went down to $60[align=center]http://<img class="bbcode-attachment...="0" alt="" />

RE: Adsense
I got a little bit of tips from 1@Alexander.[/USER] recently about using other advertising methods combined with adsense. At the moment I have not setup adsense and will probably give it a bit longer before I do but there are two other methods he uses and combines with adsense. One called InfoLinks which pays out to paypal (I just inserted the script coincidentally about 5 minutes ago and waiting to hear back) which creates links on your site. Because it pays out to paypal that's a good enough reason to give it a go.
There's one other he mentioned that pays out in bitcoin called A-ads. I have yet to set it up. I probably will though. It's about time the site starts making some revenue. I still have plans not to have ads for logged in users outside of info links. That could change but at least for the moment we will keep it that way. I'm excited to see if we can reach the threshold. Because we are seeing at least 13,000 visits a month and is steadily on the rise with as many posts we've achieved, it's worth a shot.

RE: Adsense
I've used Adsense successfully at one point, for a few years. On the average, I was getting something between 200-450 per month. The particular account I was using, was being used for my father's site, so he was getting half of the monthly advertising from Adsense. At one point before I left the house, it had suddenly jumped up to 1,000 or more per month, in a 3-4 month period. Sometime after that, I couldn't help my father due to lack of access to the internet at the time, and the earnings crashed quite literally from the 1k per month he was getting, due to a few poor decisions he made updating both the ads and the webmaster tools.

RE: Adsense
It's pretty good if you have a site getting a lot of views. Unfortunately, even with that, it seems like you may have to consider other alternatives alongside it since a lot of people tend to use ad blockers (like myself). I completely removed AdSense from my forum and went down the paid upgrades route[align=center]http://<img class="bbcode-attachment...="0" alt="" />[/align]
