What does everyone think of foldable smartphones, will they be the future of smartphones? I personally think they will be a fad and the foldable glass will be better suited to be used in other fields. Perhaps these phones will do better in the gaming phone market, due to their bigger screen.

RE: Foldable Smartphones
Reminds me of flip phones that weren't smart phones at all. I think most people like their smart phone without being a flip. I know I've heard that from several other people that they aren't into the whole flip thing but who knows. Could possibly be a thing into the future. In my opinion the ordinary smart phone will be around for some time though before people start switching to this

RE: Foldable Smartphones
I think that most batteries are not up for it just yet, you'll need maybe a 5000 mAhs to make it up for it because for what i've seen, it takes a lot of graphs and stuff to make it look cooler than a normal phone, while the prize isn't any much better.
Of course this could be the future but who knows. i'll still with normal for a while until it really gets better.[align=center]

Personally can't see the point in them, ones I've seen so far look weird.

RE: Foldable Smartphones
It's a nice idea but not something I really care about that much. And the price points right now are way too high. And there will be way too many problems so right now, you're paying a lot to be a tester for them.[align=center]http://<img class="bbcode-attachment...="0" alt="" />[/align]

RE: Foldable Smartphones
My only concerns are prices and how delicate those phones would be. These are rough times you know, you won't always be there just using your phone at home in bed.[align=center]

RE: Foldable Smartphones
Price point in my country is $2999. No thanks, I could buy gold for that price.[align=center]\"This is not the end, it is not even the beginning of the end, but it is perhaps the end of the beginning.\"

RE: Foldable Smartphones
It's a good idea, but the price is a massive drawback for me. I wouldn't want to pay $2999 for the phone when I could buy the new iPhone 12 for 50 percent less. When the value drops, it's something I'll definitely look into but not right now. I'm also concerned the glass would break as you were folding it - it's giving me anxiety even thinking about it.
